Hey everybody,
My name is Jack Cornett. I’m majoring in Marketing with a concentration in Innovation. I originally planned to concentrate in Finance, but after taking Professor Luchs’s Sustainability Inspired Innovation & Design course last spring, I figured Innovation would be a more pragmatic route.
I’m a simple guy. Here at W&M, I’m a football player, in the Internal Marketing Director for Agency 1693 (student-run marketing agency), in Kappa Sigma fraternity, and I also do some stuff in Catholic Campus Ministries. I’ll listen to almost any music you can think of — my top 3 Apple Music artists are Frank Ocean, Bon Iver, and the Avett Brothers…but Travis Scott might work his way into the mix sooner or later. I also play the bagpipes so any Irish or Scottish tunes are good too. Instagram is my main source of memes, and I’ve gathered enough courage to make a few appearances in Swampy Memes.
In terms of future employment, I have no idea what I want to do. This summer I had an internship at Smithfield Foods Marketing Dept., working with a few of their regional CPG brands. I could see myself working there in the future, but I could also see myself as an Athletic Director at a high school or scout for a professional sports franchise. I’m game for most any opportunity that comes my way, I just hope I enjoy whatever I end up choosing.
